What inspired you or led to your current career?
I worked in the corporate world for AT&T in marketing and sales before I had my daughter and then we moved overseas to Switzerland for my husband’s job. When we came back to the states I moved to Pittsburgh first, then back to Atlanta. I had a friend that was active in the franchise industry who felt the Lash Lounge was a perfect fit as it was founded by a woman and many are woman-owned. Their mission is to make women feel great about themselves.

How long have you lived in Sandy Springs?
I moved back here 6 years ago. Actually, when I graduated from college in Virginia we moved to Atlanta and got married here. My daughter, who will be a senior next year, goes to Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Sandy Springs. I feel that Sandy Springs has a great local flavor and wonderful sense of community that is growing with the New City Springs Center and walkable shops and restaurants

Choosing anyone alive or dead who would you like to have lunch with?
I actually have two people. Thomas Jefferson as I have read about him, having gone to college in Virginia and think he would be a fascinating person to talk to and Hedy Lamarr who was an actress and inventor -but she was also so much more!

What is something unique about you?
I love dogs and one of my dogs is a certified therapy dog. My daughter and I take her to the Drake House every Friday so she can work her wonders on the kids there.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
I would like to travel to Thailand & the Galapagos Islands. I have never been to the Far East and I would love to see the culture and way of life in person.

What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
My mother passed away when I was 25 and my sister was 11. My husband, who was my fiancé at the time, and I made the decision to raise her. She turned out great and is living in Colorado.
