Tell Us A Little About Yourself.
I am a senior in high school and am very involved in the Sandy Springs community. I work with the Sandy Springs Mission and I actually started a local chapter of the Service League my Freshman year and was elected President. I really love working at the Mission and started to work closely with Felix Lora, the Executive Director. Together we created a tutoring guide for YMSL to mentor and tutor the students of the Mission. The program is now in its 4th year and has turned virtual. In March 2020, I applied for and received a grant from PebbleTossers for $1500 which I used to purchase 17 tablets for needy students to be able to participate in online school and virtual tutoring. I also began tutoring a 6th grade student. Me and a few friends started a food drive for Mission neighbors during the pandemic. We collected canned goods and food supplies and delivered them each week for 4 weeks to needy families.
Where do you go to school?
I go to Riverwood High School, am a senior and I am attending classes in person not virtually.
Please tell us a little bit about your family.

What do you love about Sandy Springs?
I really like the people who make up this community. They are all so nice and yet different.
What is the best advice you ever received from a teacher? Who was the teacher?
It would be Mr. Gribble, my AP World History and Theory of Knowledge teacher. He gave me lessons on what is most important in life. Not material things or good grades but to be a good person in how you live your life. This has given me a much more positive outlook and made me a more positive person.
Who inspires you the most?
Choosing anyone alive or past – who would you like to have lunch with?
Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos
What’s the first thing you want to do when this quarantine is over?
Travel! I was supposed to go to a Teen Tour of Tanzania and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro which got canceled. I love to travel – last summer I went to Alaska and the year before I went to the Swiss Alps.
What is something people might not know about you?
I love to play music – I play the sax and just started playing guitar. My favorite is playing jazz.
