What inspired you or led to your current career?
In 2006 my husband and I opened Chef’ Rob’s restaurant right in the heart of Sandy Springs and we joined the Chamber and I got involved.
How long have you lived or worked in Sandy Springs?
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and met my husband who is a chef. He was working for P. Diddy at his restaurant, Justin’s in New York, and my husband was sent to Atlanta to open a restaurant for him. We both loved Atlanta and decided to open our own restaurant, Chef Rob’s, here 13 years ago. We joined the Chamber and I was hooked on community involvement.
Who is the most interesting person you have met here?
Jackie Merkel who is the owner of Bishoku restaurant. She is a phenomenal woman!
What is something unique about you?
I have a passion for music and love to sing but can’t.
What do you love about Sandy Springs?
The great people who make up the community are so supportive. I have seen its growth since starting a business here in 2006 and it continues to get better. The school system is awesome and there are great places to eat. (Chef Rob’s)
What makes you happy?
Knowing that the people I love are happy and well taken care of.
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be?
Bali for peace and tranquility
What is your favorite thing?
My 2 beautiful children, my son, and daughter.
What is something on your bucket list?
To jump out of an airplane. I do have a fear of heights and recently challenged myself and did zip lining.
What advice would you give to people?
Treat people how you want to be treated with kindness and respect.
What words come to mind when you think of the word home?
Love, Family, and Peace
